The 6000 series has the slimmest cross-section of our standard product lines relative to its bore size, keeping weight and installed footprint low while still handling combined radial and light axial loads. Precision-ground raceways support smooth running from low-speed applications up to 29,000–34,000 r/min depending on bore size, and every bearing passes full-image inspection before it ships — not just a random sample from the batch.

What bore sizes are available in the 6000 series?

What's the difference between open, ZZ, 2RZ and 2RS versions?
Open bearings have no seal and are typically used where the housing itself keeps out dust and moisture. ZZ has metal dust shields on both sides for basic protection at higher speeds. 2RZ uses a low-friction rubber seal, balancing protection and speed. 2RS uses a contact rubber seal for the best sealing against dust and moisture, at a slightly lower maximum speed than ZZ or 2RZ.
What is the maximum speed for 6000 series bearings?
Maximum speed depends on bore size and lubrication method. Smaller bores (6000–6003) can run up to 20,000–34,000 r/min with grease lubrication, while larger bores (6018–6020) are rated for around 4,200–4,700 r/min. Can I get a custom bore size or clearance class in this series?
Yes. Alongside the 21 standard models, we accept custom specifications within the 6000 series — including non-standard bore sizes, tighter clearance classes and special grease fills. Send us your requirement and we'll confirm feasibility before quoting.

What's the difference between ZZ and 2RS bearings?
ZZ has metal shields on both sides, giving lower friction and better performance in clean, high-speed conditions. 2RS has rubber contact seals on both sides, offering stronger protection against dust and moisture at a slightly lower maximum speed. This is the single most common question across our entire 6000 series — if you're unsure which to choose, tell us your operating environment and we'll recommend the right one.
Are your 6000 series bearings interchangeable with SKF, NSK or NTN bearings?
Yes. Bearing numbering (6000, 6001, 6002, 6003, 6004, 6005, 6006, 6007, 6008, etc.) follows an international ISO standard, so our bearings share identical bore, outer diameter and width dimensions with the equivalent SKF, NSK, NTN, FAG or Koyo part numbers. Send us the brand and part number you're currently using and we'll confirm the direct equivalent.
What does "C3" mean on a bearing part number?
C3 indicates a greater-than-standard internal clearance, commonly specified for high-speed applications or where operating temperature causes the shaft and housing to expand and reduce clearance during use. If your equipment runs hot or fast, C3 clearance is usually the right choice — ask us to confirm for your specific application.
